Although the value might not be accepted for the actual connection, we
can filter out some bogus values beforehand, and that should be enough
for making kselftest happier.

For making syzbot happier, this patch introduces a local helper for a

message handling, so that we can avoid the WARNING splats.

There can be concurrent accesses to line6 midibuf from both the URB
completion callback and the rawmidi API access. This could be a cause
of KMSAN warning triggered by syzkaller below (so put as reported-by

spinlock for avoiding the possible races.

commit b7b7e1ab7619deb3b299b5e5c619c3e6f183a12d upstream.
USB-audio driver puts SNDRV_CHMAP_SL and _SR as left and right
surround channels for UAC1 channel map, respectively. But they should
have been SNDRV_CHMAP_RL and _RR; the current value *_SL and _SR are
rather "side" channels, not "surround". I guess I took those
mistakenly when I read the spec mentioning "surround left".
This patch corrects those entries to be the right channels.

When dmaengine supports pause function, in suspend state,
dmaengine_pause() is called instead of dmaengine_terminate_async(),
In end of playback stream, the runtime->state will go to
SNDRV_PCM_STATE_DRAINING, if system suspend & resume happen
at this time, application will not resume playback stream, the
stream will be closed directly, the dmaengine_terminate_async()
will not be called before the dmaengine_synchronize(), which
violates the call sequence for dmaengine_synchronize().
This behavior also happens for capture streams, but there is no
SNDRV_PCM_STATE_DRAINING state for capture. So use
dmaengine_tx_status() to check the DMA status if the status is
DMA_PAUSED, then call dmaengine_terminate_async() to terminate
dmaengine before dmaengine_synchronize().

priv->pdev pointer was set after being used in
fsl_asoc_card_audmux_init().
Move this assignment at the start of the probe function, so
sub-functions can correctly use pdev through priv.
fsl_asoc_card_audmux_init() dereferences priv->pdev to get access to the
dev struct, used with dev_err macros.
As priv is zero-initialised, there would be a NULL pointer dereference.
Note that if priv->dev is dereferenced before assignment but never used,
for example if there is no error to be printed, the driver won't crash
probably due to compiler optimisations.

commit 4a63bd179fa8d3fcc44a0d9d71d941ddd62f0c4e upstream.
Currently ALSA timer doesn't have the lower limit of the start tick
time, and it allows a very small size, e.g. 1 tick with 1ns resolution
for hrtimer. Such a situation may lead to an unexpected RCU stall,
where the callback repeatedly queuing the expire update, as reported
by fuzzer.
This patch introduces a sanity check of the timer start tick time, so
that the system returns an error when a too small start size is set.
As of this patch, the lower limit is hard-coded to 100us, which is
small enough but can still work somehow.

commit 1576f263ee2147dc395531476881058609ad3d38 upstream.
This patch addresses an issue with the Panasonic CF-SZ6's existing quirk,
specifically its headset microphone functionality. Previously, the quirk
used ALC269_FIXUP_HEADSET_MODE, which does not support the CF-SZ6's design
of a single 3.5mm jack for both mic and audio output effectively. The
device uses pin 0x19 for the headset mic without jack detection.
Following verification on the CF-SZ6 and discussions with the original
patch author, i determined that the update to
ALC269_FIXUP_ASPIRE_HEADSET_MIC is the appropriate solution. This change
is custom-designed for the CF-SZ6's unique hardware setup, which includes
a single 3.5mm jack for both mic and audio output, connecting the headset
microphone to pin 0x19 without the use of jack detection.

In snd_soc_info_volsw(), mask is generated by figuring out the index of
the most significant bit set in max and converting the index to a
bitmask through bit shift 1. Unintended wraparound occurs when max is an
integer value with msb bit set. Since the bit shift value 1 is treated
as an integer type, the left shift operation will wraparound and set
mask to 0 instead of all 1's. In order to fix this, we type cast 1 as
`1ULL` to prevent the wraparound.

commit 051e0840ffa8ab25554d6b14b62c9ab9e4901457 upstream.
The dreamcastcard->timer could schedule the spu_dma_work and the
spu_dma_work could also arm the dreamcastcard->timer.
When the snd_pcm_substream is closing, the aica_channel will be
deallocated. But it could still be dereferenced in the worker
thread. The reason is that del_timer() will return directly
regardless of whether the timer handler is running or not and
the worker could be rescheduled in the timer handler. As a result,
the UAF bug will happen. The racy situation is shown below:
(Thread 1) | (Thread 2)
snd_aicapcm_pcm_close() |
... | run_spu_dma() //worker
| mod_timer()
flush_work() |
del_timer() | aica_period_elapsed() //timer
kfree(dreamcastcard->channel) | schedule_work()
| run_spu_dma() //worker
... | dreamcastcard->channel-> //USE
In order to mitigate this bug and other possible corner cases,
call mod_timer() conditionally in run_spu_dma(), then implement
PCM sync_stop op to cancel both the timer and worker. The sync_stop
op will be called from PCM core appropriately when needed.

We need to define the codec pin 0x1b to be the mic, but somehow
the mic doesn't support hot plugging detection, and Windows also has
this issue, so we set it to phantom headset-mic.
Also the determine_headset_type() often returns the omtp type by a
mistake when we plug a ctia headset, this makes the mic can't record
sound at all. Because most of the headset are ctia type nowadays and
some machines have the fixed ctia type audio jack, it is possible this
machine has the fixed ctia jack too. Here we set this mic jack to
fixed ctia type, this could avoid the mic type detection mistake and
make the ctia headset work stable.

This notebook has 6 built in speakers for 5.1 surround support, however
only two got autodetected and have also not been assigned correctly.
This patch enables all speakers and also fixes muting when headphones are
plugged in.
The speaker layout is as follows:
pin 0x15 Front Left / Front Right
pin 0x18 Front Center / Subwoofer
pin 0x1b Rear Left / Rear Right (Surround)
The quirk will be enabled automatically on this hardware, but can also be
activated manually via the model=aspire-ethos module parameter.
Caveat: pin 0x1b is shared between headphones jack and surround speakers.
When headphones are plugged in, the surround speakers get muted
automatically by the hardware, however all other speakers remain
unmuted. Currently it's not possible to make use of the generic automute
function in the driver, because such shared pins are not supported.
If we would change the pin settings to identify the pin as headphones,
the surround channel and thus the ability to select 5.1 profiles would
get lost.
This quirk solves the above problem by monitoring jack state of 0x1b and
by connecting/disconnecting all remaining speaker pins when something
gets plugged in or unplugged from the headphones jack port.

[ Upstream commit 9bfa7b36343c7d84370bc61c9ed774635b05e4eb ]
Set microphone pins 0x18 (rear) and 0x19 (front) to VREF_50 to fix the
microphone noise on ASUS TUF B550M-PLUS which uses the ALCS1200A codec.
The initial value was VREF_80.
The same issue is also present on Windows using both the default Windows
driver and all tested Realtek drivers before version 6.0.9049.1. Comparing
Realtek driver 6.0.9049.1 (the first one without the microphone noise) to
Realtek driver 6.0.9047.1 (the last one with the microphone noise)
revealed that the fix is the result of setting pins 0x18 and 0x19 to
VREF_50.
This fix may also work for other boards that have been reported to have
the same microphone issue and use the ALC1150 and ALCS1200A codecs, since
these codecs are similar and the fix in the Realtek driver on Windows is
common for both. However, it is currently enabled only for ASUS TUF
B550M-PLUS as this is the only board that could be tested.

The ASUS D700SA desktop's audio (1043:2390) with ALC887 cannot detect
the headset microphone and another headphone jack until
ALC887_FIXUP_ASUS_HMIC and ALC887_FIXUP_ASUS_AUDIO quirks are applied.
The NID 0x15 maps as the headset microphone and NID 0x19 maps as another
headphone jack. Also need the function like alc887_fixup_asus_jack to
enable the audio jacks.
