Having a local variable of 1024 bytes on 64-bit architectures is a bit too much, and I ran into this warning while trying to see what functions use the largest stack: drivers/staging/fbtft/fbtft-sysfs.c: In function 'store_gamma_curve': drivers/staging/fbtft/fbtft-sysfs.c:132:1: warning: the frame size of 1032 bytes is larger than 1024 bytes [-Wframe-larger-than=] As there is no need for 64-bit gamma values (on 32-bit architectures, we don't use those either), I'm changing the type from 'unsigned long' to 'u32' here, which cuts the required space in half everywhere. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
