[ Upstream commit 5dccdc5a1916d4266edd251f20bbbb113a5c495f ] In ext4_rename(), when RENAME_WHITEOUT failed to add new entry into directory, it ends up dropping new created whiteout inode under the running transaction. After commit <9b88f9fb0d2> ("ext4: Do not iput inode under running transaction"), we follow the assumptions that evict() does not get called from a transaction context but in ext4_rename() it breaks this suggestion. Although it's not a real problem, better to obey it, so this patch add inode to orphan list and stop transaction before final iput(). Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
