commit cd26d1c4d1bc947b56ae404998ae2276df7b39b7 upstream. If a filehandle is dup()ped, then it is possible to close it from one fd and call mmap from the other. This creates a race condition in vb2_mmap where it is using queue data that __vb2_queue_free (called from close()) is in the process of releasing. By moving up the mutex_lock(mmap_lock) in vb2_mmap this race is avoided since __vb2_queue_free is called with the same mutex locked. So vb2_mmap now reads consistent buffer data. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
